Speaking to Foxes Hub, Jansson expressed her excitement at beginning a new chapter in England.
“I am really honoured and excited to start my journey here. I am looking forward to meeting the fans and playing at King Power Stadium,” she said.

Jansson arrives with a strong pedigree, having won two Damallsvenskan league titles with Rosengård in 2022 and 2024. A versatile operator, she is comfortable playing in central midfield as well as in defensive roles.
Over the course of her career, she has also featured for Hammarby IF, Eskilstuna United DFF, and KIF Örebro DFF, and has represented Sweden at youth international level.
The Foxes return to WSL action on Sunday, January 11, with an away fixture against Tottenham Hotspur. They will face the same opposition again at the same venue a week later in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup.

Leicester currently sit ninth in the WSL table with nine points, recording two wins and three draws from their opening 11 matches of the campaign.
They ended the first half of the season on a positive note with a 1-0 victory over London City Lionesses, courtesy of a goal from Shannon O’Brien just before the hour mark. Goalkeeper Janina Leitzig played a crucial role in that win, producing a stoppage-time penalty save to secure all three points.
In addition to Jansson’s arrival, Leicester City have also been linked with a move for long-serving Tottenham Hotspur defender Ash Neville as they look to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season.
