Les Bleus Survive Overtime-Thriller To Take Down Akatsuki Japan

France moved to 2-0 in the men’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics after withstanding an attempt at upset by Japan.

Before Matthew Strazel’s four-point play tied the game and forced overtime, the home team looked to be losing in the closing seconds.



At the start of overtime, Victor Wembanyama and company did not let Japan hang around, going on an 8-0 run. Japan made a late, futile attempt to rally in overtime.
