For now, the Egyptian winger is still playing a major role for the Merseyside giants, despite persistent reports that he is keen on signing a new deal.

That was more the fault of the player’s agent than of Diaz, but letting his contract expire without being renewed would unavoidably fuel more rumours.
Since joining from Porto in January 2022, Diaz has made 104 appearances across all competitions, scoring 29 goals and providing 14 assists.
The Columbian winger only missed one Premier League encounter last season, demonstrating his durability to the team, and the Colombia international has started this campaign in great manner.
