Liverpool’s £125m Nightmare: How Isak’s Injury Reshapes Salah’s Future

According to Jamie Carragher, Alexander Isak’s devastating injury against Spurs could lead Mohamed Salah to change his mind about leaving Liverpool.

More Details

While the team managed a 2-1 win in North London, they lost their record signing to a broken leg.

This incident occurs amidst a public standoff where Salah has expressed frustration with how the club’s board has handled his situation.

Liverpool’s attacking depth has been unexpectedly depleted due to Cody Gakpo’s injury and the Egypt international’s departure for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Following the club’s announcement on Monday regarding Isak’s potentially lengthy injury layoff, Carragher discussed why the striker might end up remaining at Anfield.

“I think for certain now Mo Salah will be staying at the club,” the 47-year-old said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football via Mail Sport.

Jamie Carragher criticized Mohamed Salah for his heated outburst to the media following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw, taking issue with both the timing and the aggressive nature of the Egyptian’s comments.

Although Salah has stayed quiet regarding Carragher’s initial pushback, the former Liverpool defender has continued his critique. Carragher has since used his platforms on Sky Sports and CBS Sports to repeatedly condemn the 33-year-old’s behavior.

The 47-year-old analyst suggested Liverpool might strengthen their squad by cutting Harvey Elliott’s loan at Aston Villa short. Given his lack of regular minutes in the Midlands, Elliott could offer the Reds valuable flexibility as either a forward or an attacking midfielder.
