The Lagos born 5.7ft forward scored an audacious volley during his side’s 2-0 away win over Oestende.

On loan from Lorient, Ismaheel has carved a niche for himself in the second tier of Belgian football with Beveren where he and his club narrowly missed out on promotion to the elite league last season.

Buoyed by his team’s recent tweak in formations, Ismaheel has scored three goals in his last five league appearances while also providing one assist within same period. He has thus featured in all fifteen league games for the club.

The Nigerian started his career in Norway with Skeid before moving to Fredrikstaad, he then signed for Lorient in France who have since shipped him on loan to Valerenga and now Beveren.

Asked about his aspirations for the future, the winger said he hopes to help his side secure promotion and also get a call up to the Nigerian national team.

“My aim is to help Beveren secure promotion to the Jupiler League and I also hope to keep this form with the hope that the national team handlers will be alerted about my exploits.” He told Bettitude.com in an exclusive chat.

The player who is managed by Tempo Sports Group has a contract with Lorient until the summer of 2025.
