On Sunday, FC Cincinnati confirmed the sale of Argentine attacker Luca Orellano to Liga MX giants CF Monterrey for an undisclosed multi-million dollar transfer fee.

The 25-year-old winger leaves the Queen City after a highly successful stint that began with his arrival from Brazil’s Vasco da Gama prior to the 2024 season.

During his time with the Orange and Blue, Orellano tallied 15 goals and 11 assists across 77 competitive matches.
Orellano’s standout 2024 campaign cemented his status as a premier talent in North America, earning him an MLS All-Star selection and the MLS Goal of the Year award for his spectacular long-range strike.

FC Cincinnati is set to kick off their 2026 MLS season on February 21 with a matchup against Atlanta United. The game, scheduled for 4:30 pm ET, will be broadcast on both FOX and Apple TV.
In addition to their league play, the club is also slated to participate in the Concacaf Champions Cup this year.
