Most of the credits rest on Portuguese manager Luis Castro who has transformed the side into an exciting ball playing side.

Buoyed by the presence of superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Marcelo Brozovic, the 62 year old is far from satisfied with his goalkeeping department.

The Knights have dominated opponents most of the season but have seen their defence breached in nineteen of their twenty six games this term.

David Ospina was recruited in the summer of 2022 but an unfortunate injury suffered by the Colombian has forced Castro to rely on Nawaf Al Aqidi between the sticks.
