After Vinicius faced fans who were racially insulting him, the episodes went viral and sparked outrage from those who were watching.
While La Liga has condemned the occurrences, while Javier Tebas criticized Vinicius for his anger with the league’s inaction on the matter.
Rubiales acknowledged that Spain had a problem while speaking to the media, and Diario AS covered his remarks.
“What happened yesterday, and it is not the first time, has led me to appear and give an explanation. We have a problem. As long as there is a single fan, an undesirable or a group of undesirables who insult for sexual reasons, skin, creed… We have a problem that stains clubs, fans, an entire country.”
Vinicius has addressed the issue with the authorities through his social media posts. Vinicius was requested by Rubiales to assist the Spanish Football Federation in finding a solution.
“Vinicius Jr and any female or male footballer who receives an insult, in this case due to racism, has my support and that of the RFEF. We are here to support and help, but also to ask them to help us improve.”
“There are those who talk about the behaviour of certain players. I repeat, even if it is a single undesirable, even if it is a group of undesirables, it is a problem that stains all of Spanish football.”

Meanwhile…
In honor of Vinicius Junior and his fight against racism, the famous Brazilian landmark Christ the Redeemer remained dark for an hour on Monday night.
Relevo claims that although the statue is usually illuminated at night, for an hour between 18:00 and 19:00 local time, the lights were turned off to show solidarity for Vinicius.
Vinicius being practically in tears after receiving racial insults was captured on camera, and the photos were broadcast around the world, sparking outrage that was unsurprisingly very strong.
