Despite his failures in the last two years, Luka Jovic is determined to succeed at Real Madrid, according to a report by Spanish daily AS. The 23-year-old, on the other hand, is looking for regular playing time, which is why he wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the January transfer window.

Luka Jovic moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 after a stellar season with Eintracht Frankfurt. His performances in the 2018/19 season encouraged the Merengues to outbid other clubs for his talents, signing him to a six-year contract for a rumoured €60 million transfer price.

The Serbian striker, on the other hand, has done little to justify the transfer fee, let alone the fanfare that surrounded him when he first arrived at the club. Jovic has only scored two goals and provided three assists in 39 games for Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti has shown little faith in the 23-year-old at the start of the 2021/22 season, and things have only gotten worse for him. Jovic has yet to start a game and has only played 95 minutes so far, with Mariano Diaz leapfrogging him in the Real Madrid striker pecking order.

As a result, Jovic has decided to leave Real Madrid, although for the time being, because he is motivated to succeed at the club sooner or later. In order to play week in and week out, the player will look for a loan in the January transfer window. And there’s little doubt that the Real Madrid renegade will attract a slew of suitors.

Despite his troubles at Real Madrid, several Serie A clubs are interested in the 23-year-old, with AS Roma being the most recent. Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Fiorentina have all expressed interest in signing Jovic.

Real Madrid will offer Luka Modric a contract extension in the coming months, according to club sources. Modric, who turned 36 in September, is eager to sign this agreement because he believes he can still contribute to the team.

Real Madrid will give Modric a one-year extension when his current contract ends next summer, as they generally do with older players.

While the club is ready to move on and offer younger players like Eduardo Camavinga or Fede Valverde the starting job, Modric may very well take on a veteran role for these young men and play in certain instances when his legs aren’t fresh enough.
