The Italian midfielder, who can also play on the wings, is on the verge of joining Napoli from Frosinone and is currently undergoing medical tests with the Partenopei at Villa Stuart in Rome. The Milan academy product will move to the Stadio Maradona on an initial €1m loan, with an obligation to buy for €11m in 2025.
The idea was to have Brescianini replace Jens Cajuste, who was expected to move to Brentford. But the deal with the English Premier League side has reportedly collapsed, according to several reports from England and Italy, hence they have dropped the player, who is travelling back to Italy.
The French midfielder had even undergone medical tests with the English club, which, however, failed to reach a full agreement with Napoli. Antonio Conte’s side are still expected to sign Billy Gilmour from Brighton, according to Matteo Moretto and Alfredo Pedullà.
Also, Spanish La Liga side, Real Betis are in advanced talks to sign Brazilian defender Natan, but the main transfer for the clubs remains Lukaku and according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Belgian forward is ready to take a pay cut to reunite with Conte at Napoli, but the Partenopei are still pushing for an agreement with the Blues. In fact, he is ready to cut his salary from €7.5m per year to €6m, and the Partenopei have sent an opening €25m offer – plus €5m add-ons – to sign him.
But Chelsea’s asking price is still €43m.Previous reports claimed that Aston Villa were ready to match Chelsea’s asking price, but Lukaku only wanted to join Napoli and was waiting for the green light from the Blues.
Conte hopes to sign Lukaku before the start of the new season this weekend, regardless of the sale of Osimhen. The Nigeria international hasn’t been involved in any pre-season game and wants to leave the Stadio Maradona.

According to Gazzetta, he may still be an option for Chelsea, especially after Samu Omorodion’s collapsed transfer, but at the moment, the Blues have not opened talks with Napoli. Perhaps, a deal can be done, but Napoli and Osimhen will have to reduce their demands to make the transfer happen.
