Guardiola, who inked his most recent contract in November 2022, will soon be entering the last 12 months of his current Man City contract.

The Man City gaffer has stated that he will stay in his position through the 2024–25 season and that he has no plans to depart this summer. Guardiola did, however, acknowledge that he is “closer to leaving than staying” following Man City’s record-tying fourth Premier League title in a row.

The Daily Mail claims that Man City is prepared to extend Guardiola’s stellar eight-year tenure at the team with a new long-term contract.

According to the report, the 53-year-old will come under pressure from the Citizens, who are eager for him to sign a meaningful extension.

According to reports, the Catalan recently had dinner with a crucial player to talk about his future and get their opinions on the matter. Guardiola has transformed Man City into a global football powerhouse, and the club’s management is keen to hang onto him.

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.

The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.

Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
