More Details

But the club knows that they would have to make some signings if they’re to maintain this for next season and possibly improve on it too, which is why the club is actively looking at several targets.

According to reports from Italy, it’s only a matter of time before South Korean defender, Kim Min-Jae joins the Red Devils from Napoli and his signing is expected to be quickly followed with another signing from another Italian side.

Atalanta young forward, Rasmus Hojlund has been tipped to strengthen the attack for the EPL side too. The Napoli defender has a release clause that United are believed to be keen on paying when it becomes active from July 1st to the 15th.

They will then offer Kim a €7million per year contract to become the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window. Kim only arrived in Naples last summer in a bargain move from Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The 26-year-old has made 45 appearances in all competitions since then and played a key role as Napoli ended their long wait for a Serie A crown. As for Hojlund, an offer of €40 to €50 million should be enough to pry him away from the La Dea.

The powerful Dane has the height and physicality that Ten Hag is looking for in a striker and has impressed during his time in Serie A. At just 20, there is plenty of development left in him, too.

He has also been compared to Erling Haaland and only moved to Atalanta last summer from Sturm Graz, for a fee in the region of €17m meaning that should they consider a sale, Atalanta could double or triple the fee that they used to sign in the soace of one year.

According to reports, the Red Devils also tried to get in on Liverpool’s move for Brighton midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister, but the player has already made up his mind to move to the Anfield Stadium and wouldn’t listen to any other offer.

Meanwhile…

The club’s takeover saga is still rumbling on, with Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani submitting his final bid on Wednesday afternoon and setting a deadline of Friday.

The Qatari businessman remains one of two contenders in the battle to buy the club, rivalling British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe in a saga that has now lasted a number of months since the Glazers family declared their intentions to sell last year November.

However, in a new twist to seize control of the EPL club, Sheikh Jassim submitted the new offer directly to the club’s owners and Raine Group, the American bankers managing the long-running saga.

According to the latest report, the Sheikh has also set a deadline of Friday to receive a response on his new take it or leave it offer.
