Now, under new management, the Manchester-based club are reportedly seeking to bolster that area by adding more quality and depth.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, United has made a £43 million bid for Fabian Ruiz, with the transfer’s success hinging on Paris Saint-Germain’s and Ruiz’s agreement.

According to reports, Old Trafford sees Fabián Ruiz as a significant upgrade for their midfield. The 29-year-old Spanish international, who was instrumental in PSG’s treble-winning season, is currently with the European Champions at the Club World Cup.

Ruiz is a versatile player, capable of excelling as a creative midfielder, defensive midfielder, or even on the wing. This season, under Luis Enrique, he has already contributed 6 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

Notably, he scored against Atletico Madrid and assisted a goal against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami at the Club World Cup.

Tomorrow night, Paris Saint-Germain will face off against German champions Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals. Manchester United might be keeping a close eye on Fabian Ruiz’s performance during this match.

Last year, Ruiz was instrumental in Spain’s European Championship win, contributing two goals and two assists. He also played a significant role in the Spanish squad that secured a silver medal in the recent Nations League.

While Fabian Ruiz possesses the skill and experience to enhance Manchester United’s squad, he will soon turn 30, which could make him a short-term solution rather than a long-term fixture for the club.
