In order to relieve some of the pressure on Rasmus Hojlund, who hasn’t scored in the Premier League since joining from Atalanta for £72 million, Erik ten Hag is keen to bolster his squad in January.

This season, the 27-year-old has been in incredible form for Stuttgart, scoring 18 goals in 13 games thus far. Due to a release provision in his contract, Guirassy is available for just £15 million, making Newcastle United and West Ham United interested in signing him next month.

According to Sky Germany, Manchester United and Guirassy’s representatives have held “first discussions.” Bild claims that Guirassy has not ruled out leaving Stuttgart for the upcoming month and that he “feels flattered” by Erik ten Hag’s interest.

Ten Hag suggested this week that despite rumors of an offer from Old Trafford, United might have a quiet January transfer window.

Ten Hag responded, “I don’t think so—and if you can improve your team, then you should do,” to a question posed by the United We Stand fanzine on potential new hires in January.

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
