In preparation for their upcoming season, Manchester United are expecting a formal offer from Chelsea for Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho.
More Details
Following a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, which saw the club finish in a low league position, Manchester United have made significant attacking acquisitions, including Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, with the hope of a much-improved performance in the new season.

There are still players whose future at Old Trafford is uncertain, even with the new signings under manager Ruben Amorim.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United anticipate that Chelsea will make an official bid for Garnacho, who has a strained relationship with Amorim. However, Chelsea is reportedly looking to pay much less than United’s £50 million valuation.
Alejandro Garnacho’s 2024-25 Premier League season was underwhelming, with the winger managing just six goals and two assists.
This continues a trend of inconsistency since he became a first-team regular in 2022-23, as he’s never scored more than seven times in a top-flight season. Still only 21, Garnacho has significant potential for future growth.

Interestingly, Manchester United have excluded him from their pre-season fixtures and is actively looking to offload him.
This situation suggests that Chelsea could likely purchase him for less than the approximately £50m fees seen this summer for other young attackers like Anthony Elanga, Noni Madueke, and Jamie Gittens.
Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, is making significant changes to the team’s forward line. He’s either sold off or benched several key players. For example, Marcus Rashford, a lifelong fan of the club, has been loaned to Barcelona, while Antony, Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho are no longer considered part of his long-term plans.
