Ruben Amorim, who left the Lisbon powerhouses earlier this month to take over at Manchester United, has transformed the Portuguese, who started out as a right-sided forward in the Sporting system, into a wing-back.
There is now a lot of conjecture about Quenda’s future, with teams reportedly interested in signing the young player in 2025 including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
The Manchester Evening News reports that Jorge Mendes, who is negotiating on behalf of Quenda’s agent Igor Campedelli, has met with Man United to talk about a possible deal for the teenager.
According to reports, Mendes has acquired half of Quenda’s image rights, therefore the well-known agent will play a significant role in any potential transfer for the wing-back in the upcoming season.

Sporting CP are reportedly anticipating a transfer from Man United for Quenda, and the Green and Whites are preparing for a fierce competition to hang onto one of the greatest young players in the world of football.
The Portuguese, whose contract with Sporting expires in June 2027 and has a release clause worth over £83 million, is reportedly attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain in addition to the Premier League.
The Red Devils are thought to have been in a strong position to recruit Quenda, who has made 12 league appearances in the 2024–25 season with one goal and one assist, because to Amorim’s presence at Man United.
