Marta Cardona: Spanish International Joins Rojiblancos

The 25-year-old Spanish international has joined the Spanish Primera Iberdrola side, Atletico Madrid from Real Madrid.

Marta Cardona (Zaragoza, May 26, 1997) has become a new Rojiblancos Women’s player after the agreement was reached between the player and the club.
The Aragonese midfielder signs with the team until June 30, 2023.
Marta Cardona trained as a footballer at Zaragoza CFF, with whom she debuted with the first team in the 2011/2012 season.
She remained in the club until 2017 when she joined Levante. After a season defending the Granota shirt, she joined the ranks of Real Sociedad, a club in which she played for two seasons and with which she won a Copa de la Reina.
In the 2020/2021 campaign, she signed for Real Madrid, the club she comes from and with which she has participated in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The midfielder from Zaragoza is a fast player, who stands out for her mobility on the attacking front and her great ability in one-on-one.
Cardona, who was part of the Spanish national women’s team at Euro 2022 played four games and scored a goal as Spain reached the quarter-final.
The player has already signed her new contract after successfully passing the medical examination that has been carried out at the University Clinic of Navarra.
