Just 11 minutes into the match, the legendary player left the field visibly frustrated, causing concern among fans.
What’s particularly worrying is that Messi didn’t attempt to play through the injury, a stark contrast to his past resilience where he often battled on or at least tried to finish a half. This time, he seemed to know almost instantly that he couldn’t continue.
After Inter Miami’s recent victory, Javier Mascherano addressed the media to calm concerns about Lionel Messi’s hamstring discomfort.
He indicated the pain wasn’t severe, suggesting it might only be a minor strain. Messi’s teammates offered less specific updates.

Federico Redondo admitted they had no new information, while Telasco Segovia mentioned Messi claimed to be “okay,” but emphasized the need for further tests to assess the injury’s extent.
It appears Messi’s injury isn’t severe, which is excellent news. He might have played through it in a more crucial match if given the option.
Inter Miami has four games scheduled over the next three weeks, including their final Leagues Cup group stage match. It remains to be seen if Messi will be able to participate in any of them.
