After spending £60 million to join United from Chelsea in the summer, Mount had a difficult start to his tenure at United due to an injury he sustained in August that prevented him from playing in five games.

Although Mount was not included in England’s team for the most recent international break, he was anticipated to play in Sunday afternoon’s Premier League match between United and Everton.

But according to the Evening Standard, Mount’s calf injury might keep him out of action for up to a month.

Erik ten Hag stated prior to United’s matchup with Everton: “We need to determine Mason’s availability for the game as he picked up an issue.”

Given that Ten Hag’s team has multiple important games over the next four weeks, Mount’s most recent setback has come at a critical moment for United. United’s last group stage matches in the Champions League are against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
