Al Ahli paid €9m to Dutch Eridivisie side PSV Eindhoven last window for the signing of the left back.
His arrival was one that thrilled the fans of the club given his youthfulness and versatility.
He went on to make ten appearances in the Saudi Pro League and a further five in the Champions League where they went all the way to lifting the trophy.
However, the player has revealed in a recent interview as published by @ActuSPL that he was close to renewing his contract with PSV.

“I was in discussions with PSV to extend, but a call from Al Ahli changed everything!
“When I heard the salary that Al Ahli was offering me, I burst out laughing! It was an astronomical sum for a 20-year-old.”
Whilst Dams has been relegated to the U-21 team this season, the player insists the salary offer from Al Ahli changed his decision on a renewal at PSV.
