Orlando City SC have officially completed the signing of free-agent goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau.

More Details

The 31-year-old Canadian international joins the club on a deal that runs through the 2027-28 MLS season.

This move follows the departure of longtime starter Pedro Gallese, who recently moved to Deportivo Cali after Orlando chose not to renew his contract.

“Maxime is a proven goalkeeper with a championship pedigree and a wealth of experience at the highest levels,” said Ricardo Moreira, Orlando’s general manager and sporting director.

“He’s an MLS Cup and Supporters’ Shield winner, a former MLS Goalkeeper of the Year finalist and a Canadian international who brings leadership, professionalism and composure to our squad.

“His ability to speak multiple languages and his international experience will help him connect seamlessly with our diverse group and further elevate leadership in the locker room. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the club and look forward to the impact he’ll make in the City Beautiful.”

During his two-season stint with the Portland Timbers, Crépeau maintained five clean sheets over 41 matches. His extensive career spans 234 professional appearances, including previous chapters with CF Montréal, the Vancouver Whitecaps, and LAFC.

On the international stage, the veteran goalkeeper has earned 29 caps for the Canadian national team. He is currently locked in a battle with Inter Miami’s Dayne St. Clair for the starting spot ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Orlando City is set to kick off its 2026 MLS season at home, hosting Red Bull New York on February 21 at 7:30 pm ET.
