Mehdi Taremi Tipped To Make A Huge Impact As Inter Prepare For Another Signing After Two Exits
Written By Onyeka Daniel
With preparations for their title defense already underway, current Serie A champions, Inter Milan haven’t made much signing in this summer transfer window, but that scenario could change towards the end of the transfer market, because it has already been established that they will need to sell off other players to fund much of transfer plans.
More Details
So far, they’ve only brought in Mehdi Taremi, Piotr Zielinski (free transfer) and goalkeeper, Josep Martinez from Genoa on a €13m deal, and for the former Porto striker, he’s already showing signs that he could be a top signing for the club with his goal scoring form during the club’s friendly matches that they’ve played (three).

For the club president, Beppe Marotta, he expects the Iranian striker to “make a big contribution” to the Nerazzurri next season, while also making it clear that the club will be maintaining control of the future of Valentin Carboni when the Argentine goes out on loan to Marseille.
Taremi has been part of Inter’s preseason training camp from the very start. And in just three friendly matches, the 32-year-old has already scored five goals. In terms of exit, the club is expected to announce the sales of Lucien Agoume to Sevilla in a €5m deal and Martin Satriano to Brest for €8m.
But the most notable exit is for Carboni, who is close to joining French side Marseille on loan. However, unlike last summer when Carboni joined Monza on loan, this will not just be a dry loan for the Argentine to gain experience. Marseille will have a purchase option to make Carboni’s loan deal a permanent one.
However, reports also suggest that Inter will have a buyback option. They are planning to extend Carboni’s contract, and have the option to sign him right back if Marseille sign him on a permanent basis. First, Marotta gave his thoughts on new Inter striker Taremi.

“We’re happy with Taremi,” said the Nerazzurri President.“I think that my colleagues Ausilio and Baccin acted very quickly to secure his services,” he went on.Marotta said that “We’re very happy to have [Taremi] with us. I think he can make a big contribution.” Meanwhile Marotta also addressed the situation of Carboni.
“We’re in talks with Marseille,” the Inter President made no efforts to hide. But I think it will be a temporary loan. We will always have his future under our control.” He further added. With these exits, the club should have enough funds to make at least one final signing, if not two.
The main position in need of reinforcements is the defense, and the club already have a list of targets. They have reportedly seen their offer for Nantes defender, Nathan Zeze rejected by the French club, but they’re still expected to come back with an improved offer.
But according to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Zenit St Petersburg’s Robert Renan is now back on Inter’s radar, as well as young Dinamo Zagreb defender, Mauro Perkovic. The 21-year-old is said to be capable of playing in the centre-back and wingback position, all on the left.
This makes him a possible target as he fits the right profile for the club, young, versatile, room for improvement and a possibility of increasing his value, without costing much and doesn’t command a huge salary either.

For Inter manager, Simone Inzaghi, he would prefer a more experienced player like Riccardo Rodriguez or Mario Hermoso, but they are both in their 30s and will command a higher salary.
