Melchie Dumornay: Haitian Midfielder Signs For European Champions

French and European Champions, Olympique Lyonnais have announced the arrival, from July 1, 2023, of Haitian midfielder and international Melchie Dumornay for three seasons, until June 30, 2026.

Wanted by several European clubs and presented as a promising player, Melchie Dumornay was trained at AS Tigresses (Haiti).
She signed her first professional contract in 2021 with Stade de Reims (D1 Arkema) and has since played 28 matches and scored 15 goals in all competitions.
Born in 2003, the midfielder rubbed shoulders with the young teams of her country before honouring her first selection with the first team at the age of 17.
Over the years, the Haitian international has distinguished herself by winning the trophy for the best young player of CONCACAF 2022, before being named in the eleven type alongside Vanessa Gilles.

Melchie Dumornay’s reaction
“It has always been my dream to wear the Olympique Lyonnais jersey. I know that this club can allow me to progress and win trophies. I can’t wait to play here and to evolve in particular alongside Wendie Renard. She is a role model for many young players and I hope to become like her one day.” She told the club website.
