Seattle Reign FC proudly announces the signing of U.S. international forward Mia Fishel through the 2029 NWSL season.
Known for her elite skill, relentless drive, and international pedigree, Fishel joins the Reign in pursuit of excellence — both personally and collectively.
“Seattle was the right choice for me,” said Fishel. “This club is built on a strong foundation of culture, competitiveness, and a clear pathway to the U.S. Women’s National Team — and I want to be part of that.”
A key factor in Fishel’s decision was the opportunity to reunite with Reign Head Coach Laura Harvey, whom she credits for helping shape her development during her time with the U.S. U-20 squad.

“Laura Harvey was definitely one of my biggest reasons for joining the Reign,” Fishel shared. “She brings out the best in me as a player and a person. She knows what it takes to get to the next level, and I know she can help get me there.”
Seattle Reign FC has long been a hub for elite talent, with 15 players called into international duty this month alone. The club’s emphasis on team culture — one of unity, professionalism, and passion — was also central to Fishel’s decision.
“One thing that really stood out to me was the family atmosphere here,” Fishel said. “That culture is built by the players and the staff, and I know it’s going to push me to grow and help this team compete for championships.”

Originally from San Diego, Fishel has only visited Seattle once as a child, but she’s excited to embrace the city’s vibrant sports community and natural beauty.
“My dad has always talked about how beautiful Seattle is — the nature, the sports scene, and even the fishing,” she laughed. “I’m looking forward to exploring all of it and connecting with our fans.”
Fishel is set to make her first appearance at Lumen Field on Sunday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. PT, when Seattle Reign FC hosts Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan in an international friendly match.
