Micael: Palmeiras Defender Joins Inter Miami On Loan
Inter Miami CF, the defending MLS Cup champions, have officially signed 25-year-old defender Micael on loan from Palmeiras.

The deal for the Brazilian center-back runs through the end of the 2026 season and gives Miami the option to make the transfer permanent.

Micael returns to MLS after a standout 2025 campaign in Brazil, where he played 28 matches—including high-profile appearances in the FIFA Club World Cup—following a record-breaking move from Houston Dynamo FC.
Prior to joining Palmeiras, Micael played 80 matches for the Houston Dynamo, a tenure highlighted by a 2023 US Open Cup victory over Inter Miami.
Micael path to the Houston first team began in MLS NEXT Pro with Dynamo 2, following a stint in Brazil’s top flight with Atlético Mineiro.

Inter Miami has been active this offseason, making Micael their third defensive acquisition alongside new fullbacks Sergio Reguilón and Facundo Mura.
The Miami-based club also bolstered their backline by signing Dayne St. Clair, the current MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.
