Inter were resigned to losing the Slovakian and already had replacements set up incase of his departure but the French club failed to meet the demands of the Nerazzurri.
Skriniar has now forgotten about the controversies that surrounded his summer and has already started working again with a renewal now on the cards as his Will has always been to remain a black and blue.
Before the offer from PSG, there was a ready offer of €5.5m for Skriniar which was to be signed.
However, realizing that the formerly proposed figure is no more convincing, the Nerazzurri hierarchy are looking at raising the offer to the level of Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic who both earn €6.2m and €6.5m respectively.
The talks going on around the Inter headquarters as per Corriere dello Sport is that PSG’s proposed salary may possibly have put Inter in a difficult situation in the renewal process as even the €6.5m could be deemed not enough.
Talks could start as early as during the international break with Inter hoping that the player’s intent could be an important factor.
