MLS: Andrés Perea Inks New Multi-Year Deal
New York City FC has officially secured the return of midfielder Andrés Perea on a multi-year deal.

The 25-year-old’s new contract runs through the 2027 season and includes a club option for 2028.

Since arriving from the Philadelphia Union in mid-2023, Perea has recorded seven goals and five assists in 73 matches. He is currently recovering from a leg fracture sustained during the 2025 postseason.
“The past two-and-a-half years with New York City have been incredibly good for me,” said Perea.
“I’ve felt so much love from the city, my teammates, the entire staff, and the fans, making me truly happy here. I’m really excited to sign a new contract with New York City and continue this journey with Los Celestes.”

During his three-season stint with Orlando City SC between 2020 and 2022, Perea also made his debut for the US men’s national team.
“As a team, we’re doing everything we can to win another MLS Cup,” Perea said. “I will continue to work hard and to develop as a player to achieve that goal. I look forward to this upcoming season, as I truly believe it will be a special one.”
During Pascal Jansen’s debut season as head coach, NYCFC advanced to the Eastern Conference Final before being eliminated by the 2025 MLS Cup winners, Inter Miami CF.
