During his three-season stint with Orlando City SC between 2020 and 2022, Perea also made his debut for the US men’s national team.

“As a team, we’re doing everything we can to win another MLS Cup,” Perea said. “I will continue to work hard and to develop as a player to achieve that goal. I look forward to this upcoming season, as I truly believe it will be a special one.”

During Pascal Jansen’s debut season as head coach, NYCFC advanced to the Eastern Conference Final before being eliminated by the 2025 MLS Cup winners, Inter Miami CF.
