MLS Disciplinary Roundup: New England Revolution’s Giacomo Vrioni Fined After Red Card

Giacomo Vrioni, a forward with the New England Revolution, was found guilty by the Disciplinary Committee of neglecting to exit the field in a timely manner during the 25th minute of the team’s game on February 24 versus D.C. United.

Due to his acts, Vrioni has been penalised an amount not yet disclosed. Midfielder Sean Davis of Nashville SC was found guilty by the Disciplinary Committee of neglecting to exit the field in a timely manner during the 22nd minute of the team’s February 25 game against the New York Red Bulls.
The Mass Confrontation Policy was broken by Toronto FC in the 56th minute of their encounter against FC Cincinnati on February 25, according to the Disciplinary Committee’s ruling.
Toronto FC’s head coach John Herdman have received an Official Warning after the team broke the Mass Confrontation Policy for the first time this season.
Richie Laryea, a defender with Toronto FC, Federico Bernardeschi, and Lorenzo Insigne, forwards, have all been fined an unknown sum for their involvement in provoking and/or intensifying a mass altercation.

Kevin Long, a centre back of Birmingham City in the English Championship, has joined Toronto FC, the team announced on Tuesday. His deal is set to expire in 2024, with an option in 2025.
Along with No. 1 SuperDraft choice Tyrese Spicer and Honduran international midfielder Deybi Flores, the 33-year-old former Irish international is Toronto’s third offseason addition.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to the Toronto FC family,” head coach John Herdman said in a release. “Kevin’s experience will be a welcome addition to TFC’s back line. He’s here to help rebuild the club and is hungry for success.”
