Jesús Ferreira’s early goal gave FC Dallas a 1-0 victory at Cotton Bowl Stadium on Monday night, ending Inter Miami CF’s preseason tour in defeat.

Paul Arriola, a forward for the US men’s national team, provided a through pass for Ferreira’s far-post finish (3′), leaving Inter Miami looking for an equaliser.
Superstar forwards Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez were almost rewarded for their efforts as they rekindled their partnership from the FC Barcelona heyday, but FC Dallas’ goalkeepers proved to be too strong on several occasions.
Before being replaced in the 64th minute along with Suárez and Sergio Busquets, Messi had three close calls: an inswinging corner kick (8′), a counterattack (12′), and a long-range volley (55′).
Along with last Friday’s 0-0 stalemate away to El Salvador, Inter Miami are still looking for their first preseason goal. This breakthrough could come when the Herons go to the Middle East to play in the Riyadh Season Cup against Al Hilal (Jan. 29) and Al Nassr (Feb. 1), two Saudi Pro League teams that can be streamed on MLS Season Pass.

Luis Suárez, a five-time La Liga champion and winner of the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Champions League, and Copa América, has signed a deal with Inter Miami CF that will last until the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.
The legendary Uruguayan striker, who helped Grêmio win the Campeonato Gaúcho and Recopa Gaúcha and was voted the Brazilian league’s Best Player and Best Striker for his 26 goals and 17 assists in 53 appearances, will join the squad before to the start 2024 Major League Soccer season.
