With the Columbus Crew adding Liga MX talent and the NYCFC landing their 13th homegrown signing ever, the Eastern Conference is becoming hotter. The announcement of Luis Suarez joining Inter Miami’s roster of superstars in South Florida is another league-changing addition.

There will be plenty of action in the 2024 campaign because of all the transactions.

Marino Hinestroza joins Columbus Crew.

After winning the 2023 MLS Cup, the Columbus Crew continues to celebrate by adding Colombian midfielder Marino Hinestroza to the U22 Initiative. With a 2027 option, he joined from Liga MX team Pachuca for the 2026–2027 MLS season.

Stefan Cleveland, a goalkeeper, joins Austin FC

Stefan Cleveland was signed by Austin FC as a goalkeeper through the 2025 Major League Soccer season, with a 2026 option. After backing up Stefan Frei with Seattle Sounders FC from 2020 until 2023, he signs as a free agent.

New York City FC sign Zidane Yañez

Homegrown Zidane Yañez was signed by New York City FC until the 2028 season, with a 2029 option. He first enrolled in the team’s academy in 2021 and progressed through the levels before excelling in the Under 17 competition. He is now the 13th homegrown signing in the history of the NYCFC.

Luis Suárez, a five-time La Liga champion and winner of the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Champions League, and Copa América, has signed a deal with Inter Miami CF that will last until the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.

The legendary Uruguayan striker, who helped Grêmio win the Campeonato Gaúcho and Recopa Gaúcha and was voted the Brazilian league’s Best Player and Best Striker for his 26 goals and 17 assists in 53 appearances, will join the squad before to the start 2024 Major League Soccer season.
