Following the procedures associated with his transfer in the ensuing hours, Caicedo is now prepared to sign an eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with the option of an additional year.
The transfer saga that unexpectedly and dramatically began last week when Liverpool suddenly submitted a record £111 million bid for the Ecuadorian international comes to a conclusion with the agreement over the ultimate price.
Caicedo insisted on joining Chelsea despite Liverpool’s offer being made without any indication that the player was interested in joining them, which allowed Mauricio Pochettino’s team to remain in the running.
Chelsea have been given permission to conduct medical examinations on the 21-year-old and arrange his contract for an official signing and subsequent unveiling after agreeing to outbid Liverpool.
Caicedo will play in midfield with Enzo Fernandez, who Chelsea acquired from Benfica in January for £107 million. The two most expensive players in British football history will now be at the center of Pochettino’s team.

As Erik ten Hag tries to complete his fourth acquisition of the summer, Bayern Munich have rejected Manchester United’s initial offer for defender Benjamin Pavard.
As United searches for a successor for former captain Harry Maguire, reports in Germany say that their initial offer for the defender has been turned down. Pavard has emerged as their main target.
The France international has been singled out by Ten Hag as the ideal replacement for Maguire, who is negotiating a £30 million move to West Ham after losing his position as captain.
