Quanesha Burks of the USA struck gold in the women’s Long Jump at the NACAC Championships, reaching 6.75m (0.1) on her third attempt.
She was well clear of the rest of the field as Christabel Nettey of Canada was second with 6.46m (0.1) while Chanice Porter of Jamaica got third with 6.43m (-0.2).

Laulauga Tausaga of America won the women’s Discus Throw at the with a second-round 63.18m ahead of Denia Caballero of Cuba in second with 61.86m. Another American Rachel Dincoff secured Bronze for a US 1-3 with 61.56m.

American Kara Winger was the winner in the women’s Javelin Throw as she threw a Season’s Best (SB) of 64.68m to take the win ahead of her teammate Ariana Ince who was second with 59.69m and Rhema Otabor of the Bahamas third with 57.91m.

Sarah Mitton of Canada was a class apart in the final of the women’s Shot Put at the NACAC Championships, going out to 20.15m for an emphatic win.

She beat Jessica Woodard of America who was second with 18.82m, followed by Jessica Ramsey of America with 18.74m for Bronze.
