The new proposal Is set at €2.5 million plus bonuses to the Salerno-based club after they asked the Partenopei to increase their offer for the player from the initial €1.5 million.

The 28-year-old wants to leave his current side for Napoli and he has already made his decision known around his surroundings to pressure the Granata to accept the bid.

Mazzocchi would be arriving as a deputy for skipper Giovanni Di Lorenzo and things are set to progress soon as he has a three-and-half-year agreement in place with the Neapolitans.

This is not the only area where Napoli are working, and they could bring in a forward too to cover for Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen who will be going to the African cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile…

Former Napoli defender, Kim Min-jae is in awe of his new teammate, Manuel Neuer and has been singing the praise of the German international. Min-jae knows exactly why the veteran goalkeeper is widely-regards as one of the best to ever man the position in between the sticks.

Of course, getting the “Full Neuer” took a bit longer than anticipate as he was still rehabbing from a broken leg when Min-jae first joined the club. “He constantly pushes us and gives us clear commands. I listen to him carefully. For me personally and for us as a team it’s good that he’s back on the pitch.

Neuer is a player I’ve been following since I was a kid and he’s incredibly better than I expected,” Min-jae said in a recent interview. Having Neuer back — and in terrific form — gives Min-jae and fans alike a lot of hope for the second half of the season.
