The Netherlands produced one of the most dramatic comebacks in FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup history, fighting back from two goals down in stoppage time to draw 2–2 with France before advancing 7–6 on penalties in a breathtaking quarter-final encounter.

Rachael Adedini gave France the lead in the 40th minute, and substitute Rochelity Dap appeared to seal the victory with a fine strike in the 93rd minute, putting Les Bleuettes 2–0 up.
But the drama was far from over.
The Netherlands launched a stunning late fightback, as Luna Laboucarie pulled one back in the 92nd minute before Ranneke Derks sensationally equalized in the 98th minute, sending the match to penalties.
In the nerve-shredding shootout, both sides traded misses and conversions, but the Dutch held their nerve to prevail 7–6, booking their place in the semifinals.

The Netherlands will now face Italy or Mexico in the last four as they continue their remarkable campaign.
