Neto Linked With A Move To Fulham

Fulham have reportedly opened talks with Spanish giants Barcelona over the summer transfer of Brazilian goalie Neto.

SPORT, a Spanish news outlet, reported that Fulham have emerged as a potential destination for wantaway Barcelona goalkeeper Neto. As they get ready for the upcoming season, the newly promoted Premier League team has made the 33-year-old goalkeeper one of their top priorities.

The 33-year-old joined Barcelona in 2019 from Valencia, where he had previously played, and has since been overshadowed by Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Barcelona is eager to move the 33-year-old this summer in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year because he only has one year left on his contract.

According to multiple reports, Neto had expressed interest in joining Serie A giants Napoli, but the Italian club has not yet made an official contact.

Fulham and Napoli are in a straight competition for the out-of-favor Barcelona goalie after he recently declined the chance to sign with Celta Vigo.

Napoli must decide quickly if they want to sign the Barcelona goalie, as the Blaugrana are eager to find Neto a club soon in the hopes of completing the transfer before they return from their preseason tour of the United States.

Meanwhile…

Barcelona are suddenly preparing an official bid to Sevilla to try and hijack their deal with Chelsea for French center-back Jules Koundé, according to the transfer guru himself, Fabrizio Romano.

As of yesterday Barça had given up on the race for Koundé according to multiple reports from Spain, but the Catalans are seemingly back in the game and haven’t thrown in the proverbial towel just yet.

Fabrizio’s report adds more credibility to journalist Gerard Romero’s claims that Barça are very close to a deal with Sevilla for Koundé. Romero went as far as to say Koundé is “99% a Barça player”, and the Blaugrana presented an offer that was more attractive to Sevilla than Chelsea’s
