Written by Dare Solomon
Bologna got knocked out of the Coppa Italia on Monday evening by newly promoted Serie B team, Termana on their home turf at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
The nine-goal thriller produced eight goals in less than an hour as the Bologna fans watched their team trailing 3-1 at halftime despite Donnarumma missing a penalty.
Nicolaz Dominguez’ goal for Bologna was believed to turn things around for his team after going two goals down to Aggazi and Donnarumma’s goals.

However, Termana upped the game as a cross found Danilo Peralta again fairly unmarked to volley home from 12 yards.
Termana continued their first half performance in the second as Dominguez bundled into the back of Cesar Falletti at in the 50th minute for another Ternana penalty. Unmoved by the earlier miss, Falletti decided to convert this one with a Panenka chip.
Finally Marko Arnautovic managed to score on his debut but that was after Termana scored their fifth goal with a stunning strike from Peralta.
And moments later, Roberto Soriano got in front of his marker to flick in a deflected cross for 3-5 with the outside of his boot.
Game ended 5-4 as Orsolini converted a penalty after Dominguez was brought down.
Termana will now face Venezia in the next round of the Coppa Italia.

Meanwhile…
Sinisa Mihajlovic called his team’s home defeat to Ternana in the Coppa Italia “bad show” while he apologized to Bologna fans.
The late Bologna comeback was not enough and they crash out of the competition in the First Round after going 5-1 down.

“We all made a bad show of ourselves and we must apologise to the fans and to the club. With all due respect to Ternana, this just cannot happen. You can lose a game, but not in this manner, and everyone is disappointed.” said a visibly furious Mihajlovic on Bologna’s official website
“Unfortunately, we cannot go back, we’re out of the cup already and this must be a wake-up call for us because we need to be more attentive and concentrated. It’s hard to explain, we’ll work a lot on the defensive side of things but it’s a matter of attention.” Mihajlovic continues
“Five goals conceded far too easily. It’s true that we were missing five full backs today but I won’t pin the result on this, then we also had to bring off Mbaye who broke his finger: The fact remains that from a technical point of view we were still superior and so losing should not be possible.” the coach concluded.
