More Details

The 25-year-old, a former Swiss youth international, has signed a contract with the club through the 2028 season, with an option for 2029.

Beloko previously played for FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League and has a career total of 4 goals and 7 assists in 129 first-team appearances. His past clubs also include Genk (Belgium), Fiorentina (Italy), and Sion (Switzerland).

“Nicky is a solid and consistent player at a promising age who adds to our talented group of midfielders,” said sporting director Rodolfo Borrell. “We are happy to welcome him to the club.”

Austin FC have significantly bolstered its midfield for the 2025 season with four new additions, including Nicky Beloko, who is the latest to join. He follows the winter signings of Ilie Sánchez, Nicolás Dubersarsky, and Besard Sabovic. Additionally, Owen Wolff, a U.S. youth international and homegrown player, remains a crucial part of their midfield lineup.

“Joining Austin FC is the perfect next step in my career and I’m grateful to the club for this opportunity,” said Beloko, who is eligible to debut when the MLS Secondary Transfer Window opens on July 24.

“I can’t wait to make my debut and to start contributing to the team as soon as I can.”

In their inaugural season with head coach Nico Estévez, the Verde & Black team currently holds the ninth and final playoff position in the Western Conference for the Audi 2025 MLS Cup. They have accumulated 26 points from 7 wins, 8 losses, and 5 draws.
