More Details…

Jesse Lingard spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United and did incredibly well for the Hammers which prompted Manchester United to want to retain him for the new season.

However, David Moyes’ side have moved to replace the England international and Nikola Vlasic seems to be the player chosen to fill the void left by Lingard. Vlasic had been in the premier league for two years between 2017 and 2019 spending the second season of his two years on loan at CSKA Moscow before making the move permanent a year later. He made twelve appearances for Everton in disappointing stint at Goodison Park.

The Croatian midfielder has since gone on to make 108 appearances scoring 33 goals since he moved to Russia, his exploits could however be rewarded with another run in the premier league as personal terms is reported to have been agreed according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

“Nikola #Vlasic has agreed personal terms with #WestHam for a contract until 2026 (€4M/year). #WHUFC are at final stage with #CSKAMoscow to close the deal around €30M. #Everton‘ll receive the 15% on the sale. #ManchesterUnited have turned down the bid for #Lingard. #transfers”

The 23 year old has appeared 26 times for his country since making his debut in 2017.

Tomas Soucek has spoken of his disappointment at West Ham dropping two points against Palace on Saturday after going up two times in the game.

Goals by Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio were both cancelled by Conor Gallagher forcing the Hammers to drop points for the first this season.

Speaking after the game he said: “We’re disappointed because we wanted three points. We got the draw, but I think we didn’t show our quality on the pitch like we should. Twice we were winning and we should manage the game better than we did.”

“Now we have seven points from three games – it’s very good and an achievement for us, but when we had six points from the first two, we wanted to make it nine.

The Hammers have scored ten goals which is a positive for David Moyes’ side but at the other end they’ve shipped in five goals which is something to consider.

“We have scored ten goals in three games, which is very good. On the other side we have conceded five goals, which is too much for us.

“We wanted a clean sheet today, but Palace got two goals, so we need to prepare our defending for the next game.

“It’s still good, we’re unbeaten so it’s a good start.”

The Claret and Blue Army have been the twelfth player this season and Soucek was quick to appreciate their influence on the team.

He added: “The atmosphere is incredible, I really like the anthem of the Club, Bubbles, when we go onto the pitch.

“During the game I heard them and when we conceded a goal they supported us more and more. They’ve really helped us in these two games and I hope we can give it back to them on the pitch.”
