Nottingham Forest have made a verbal offer to sign Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana.

The proposal of £29.8m plus add-ons is alleged to be at a level that the Ligue 1 club would be ready to accept.

Fofana joined Monaco from fellow French side Strasbourg in 2020 and has since made 140 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
He also has 10 caps for the French national team, six of which came in the 2022 World Cup.
