NWSL Issue Lifetime Coaching Bans
The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) office closed a chapter of league history on Monday, announcing corrective action in the wake of their findings on coaching and executive misconduct.

Paul Riley, Rory Dames, Christy Holly and Richie Burke have all been permanently banned from holding any position in the NWSL.
Others named in the NWSL and NWSLPA report received conditional punishment.
Craig Harrington and Alyse LaHue are barred from employment in the NWSL until 2025, at which point they could make a conditional return.

Riley said Tuesday in a statement to WRAL News that he plans “to fight a lot of things” in the wake of the ban.
