NWSL: OL Reign Snatch The Shield

It came down to the second-to-last game of the season, but the NWSL has a Shield winner with a few familiar faces.
More Details
After Portland stumbled to a 3-3 draw against Gotham, OL Reign clinched the best record in the league.
The Reign finished the season on a four-game winning streak and a seven-game unbeaten streak.
Seattle left little in doubt in a dominant 3-0 win over the Pride on Saturday behind goals from Megan Rapinoe, Jordyn Huitema, and Bethany Balcer.
This is the Reign’s third Shield and first piece of NWSL hardware since 2015.

The team also still has three original Seattle Reign players on the roster: Rapinoe, Jess Fishlock, and Lauren Barnes.
“I’ve won leagues everywhere. It is the hardest thing to do over here, and so for us to do it this year … it’s different. It’s special,” Fishlock said.
