NWSL Sunday: Goals, Goals, Goals

In the final match weekend before the international break, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) provided nothing but end-to-end action.
More Details
On Sunday alone, a whopping 16 goals were scored across the final three matches before the league takes a break until July 1.
In the first match of the day, the Portland Thorns dropped six goals on the Orlando Pride.
The 6-0 scoreline ties the NWSL record for most lopsided scoreline, as Sophia Smith scored a brace, and Hina Sugita, Natalia Kuikka, Taylor Porter, and Becky Sauerbrunn all scored a goal apiece.
Sauerbrunn’s strike was her first in almost three years and her fifth in the NWSL. It was only her second league goal scored with her feet.
