The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) continues to attract well-known investors. Recent weeks have seen notable changes in team ownerships.
Lauren Holiday, a former USWNT World Cup winner, and her husband, NBA star Jrue Holiday, purchased into the Courage this week through their Holiday Family Trust.
Holiday retired from professional soccer in 2015.
He plans to be involved in the club as an advisor, ambassador, and operations consultant.
Holiday told ESPN that he brings valuable insight because he was part of the league at its start.

Last autumn, Angel City FC sold for about $250 million.
Another expansion team, coming to Denver, reportedly paid over $110 million to enter the league.
