Official: Al Ittihad Announce Moussa Diaby

Moussa Diaby was on Wednesday announced as the new signing of the Saudi club.

Al Ittihad took to their official website to announce the signing of French winger Moussa Diaby from Aston Villa.

The 25 year old arrived from the English club in a deal worth over €50m after a protracted negotiation process.

Diaby joins on a five year deal and a reported €20m annual salary, a huge rise from his take home at the English club.

Mr. Domingos Oliveira, the CEO of Al-Ittihad, commented on Diaby’s signing, stating, “Our sports committee identified the need to strengthen the winger position with an exceptional player, and we are confident that Moussa Diaby is one of the top players who stand out globally in this role. He will be a significant asset to the team. His addition aligns perfectly with our preparations for the new season, aiming to achieve remarkable performances and results that honor Al-Ittihad’s esteemed legacy and its passionate fan base.”

Expressing his excitement, Moussa Diaby said, “I am thrilled to join Al-Ittihad and be part of a project that aims to build a strong team reflecting the club’s rich history and values. I look forward to collaborating with my new teammates to achieve victories and bring joy to our dedicated fans.”

The Paris born player will now take his skill set to Saudi Arabia after scoring six times and providing eight assists in his only Premier League season.
