The 31 year old left Wolfsburg at the end of the 2023/2024 season following the expiration of his contract.

He spent nine years at the German club where he amassed over two hundred and thirty appearances.

Following Thibaut Courtois’ falling out with Belgium coach Domenico Tedesco, Casteels was installed as the starting goalkeeper by the national team coach.

With over thirteen years of experience playing in Germany, the Bonheiden born player arrives with a lot of experience to help Al Qadsiah’s topflight ambitions.

He has put pen to payer on a three year deal with the newly promoted side.


Experienced Spanish defender Alvaro Gonzalez has left Al Qadsiah as a free agent.

After joining on a one year deal last July, the 34 year old went on to help the club secure promotion to the top flight.

With his contract now up, Alvaro Gonzalez has been bade farewell by the club who won the Saudi First Division title.

He made a total of nineteen appearances over the course of the season where he was out mostly with injuries.
