OFFICIAL: Callum Wilson joins Newcastle
Newcastle United have announced the signing of English striker, Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.

The 28-year old striker has been on the books of Bournemouth since 2014 where he scored 61 goals in 171 league appearances. He left Bournemouth following their releagation from England’s top flight and joins Newcastle on a four year deal.
Wilson cconfirmed his desire to join the Tyneside club “from the minute he knew that Newcastle were interested” and hopes to emulate even half of what some of their great strikers have done.
Newcastle coach, Steve Bruce also expressed his happiness with the signing of Wilson, revealing that he is “somebody I’ve admired for a long time.”
“The club has worked ever so hard to get Callum here and we have beaten off competition from a number of clubs. I’m grateful the club has made it happen. Lee Charnley and those behind the scenes deserve a lot of credit.”

English Premier League club, Newcastle United, are closing in on a quadruple of player transfers according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist, Nicolo Schira.

The Magpies are looking to strengthen their squad after finishing in a respectable 13th position in the Premier League last season.
The club has had some off the field issues with the biggest one being the failed takeover of the club by a Saudi Arabia backed consortium some weeks ago.
Newcastle are now looking to focus on the future by trying to complete the signings of Jamal Lewis from Norwich City, Rogerio from Sassuolo, Callum Wilson from Bournemouth and Ryan Fraser as a free agent.
It is reported that personal terms have been agreed with Callum Wilson while a 23 million Euros bid has been accepted by Bournemouth following their relegation from England’s top tier.

A deal for Rogerio Oliveira is expected to be wrapped up soon as Schira reports that Newcastle United and Sassuolo are working to close a 14 million Euros deal while Norwich City left back, Jamal Lewis could also be moving to the Tyneside for around 15 million Euros. The Northern Ireland international had previously attracted the interest of Premier League Champions, Liverpool.
Former Bournemouth winger, Ryan Fraser is also believed to be in advanced negotiations with Newcastle. The striker is a free agent after his contract with relegated Bournemouth expired at the end of the 2019/20 season.
