Paris Saint Germain have officially announced that they have parted company with league winning coach, Christophe Galtier on mutual consent as they wish him well for his future endeavors alongside his backroom staff.

At the end of the 2022-2023 season, Paris Saint-Germain informed Christophe Galtier of its decision to terminate his contract as first-team coach and it has been officially confirmed, the French manager has left the club on mutual consent today together with his backroom staff.
After arriving at Paris Saint-Germain on 5 July 2022, Christophe Galtier began by winning the Trophée des Champions with his team on 31 July 2022, beating FC Nantes 4-0 in Tel Aviv.
A week later, with a 5-0 win at Clermont, the club from the capital took top spot in Ligue 1 from Matchday 1, and never relinquished it for the rest of the season, a first in French Championship history.
Under his guidance, Paris Saint-Germain won their 11th Ligue 1 title, becoming the most successful club in the history of the French Championship.
“The Club would like to pay tribute to his professionalism and commitment, which helped the Rouge et Bleu win a historic eleventh French Championship title and a Trophée des Champions,” the club statement read.
“The entire Paris Saint-Germain team would like to thank Christophe Galtier, as well as his assistants Thierry Oleksiak and João Sacramento, for their professionalism and commitment throughout the season, and wish them all the best for the rest of their careers.”

Thiago Mendes will quit Lyon according to RMC Sport as the news outlet confirmed the initial report from transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano that the 31-year-old is closing in on a move to Al-Rayyan in Qatar.
The former Lille man, who has been a fixture of Lyon line-ups for the last four seasons, is said to have a medical lined up as early as tomorrow.
The defensive midfielder, who has sometimes played further back in defence as well, leaves having made 143 appearances for the club.

With Malo Gusto leaving for Chelsea after his short loan spell back this spring, recruiting another right-back had emerged as one of Lyon’s priorities for the transfer window, with the 18-year-old Saël Kumbedi left as the only viable option in that position.
Although the possibility of signing another Argentine full-back in Sevilla’s Gonzalo Montiel had emerged – the defender would have joined compatriot Nicolás Tagliafico at Lyon – L’Équipe indicate that Les Gones have instead opted for Club Brugge’s Clinton Mata.
The Angolan defender will join the Ligue 1 side in a deal worth €5m, and put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
