OFFICIAL: FIFA Confirms Slot Allocation for Women’s Football At LA 2028 Olympics
FIFA has officially confirmed the allocation of qualification slots by confederation for the Women’s Football Tournament at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Under the approved format, 16 teams will compete in the women’s tournament, with places distributed as follows:
UEFA: 4 direct slots
CONCACAF: 3 direct slots
CONMEBOL: 2 direct slots + 1 playoff slot
AFC: 2 direct slots + 1 playoff slot
CAF: 2 direct slots
OFC: 1 direct slot
As host nation, the United States automatically qualify for the tournament.

The Americans will enter LA 2028 as reigning Olympic champions, having defeated Brazil 1–0 in the gold medal match at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
