The lanky defender left Manchester United’s training ground to go join his waiting partner at the registry.

The Crewe Registry Office was the venue of the event and it wasn’t communicated until the early hours of Thursday.

The event was made low-key with only close friends and family in attendance at the registry.

They’ll take their marriage vows again later in the summer in France at a chateau. The partners already have two kids together, Lillie Saint and Piper Rose.

“It was a closely guarded secret to all but their closest family and friends,” said a source according to The Mirror.

“They wanted to be officially married in the UK before they head to France.

“That will be a fairytale wedding day for Fern.”

Maguire’s struggles on the pitch have been evident this season but that hasn’t taken the shine away from him completing his marital vows.

Liverpool have at least been given a boost on Fabinho’s latest injury after it appeared that the Brazilian midfielder will miss this weekend’s FA Cup final.

Fabinho picked up what looked like a hamstring injury in the midweek victory over Aston Villa and was later ruled out of the final showpiece against Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp has now offered a positive update on the former Monaco man’s injury with a return date now set. “There’s a good chance that he will be available for the Champions League final.”

Klopp is now banking on skipper Jordan Henderson to fill in for the Brazilian. “We have a few players. Hendo came on (at Villa) and played incredible, he has played super games this season at 6 so that is not a problem,” Klopp said. Fabinho will now undergo intensive treatment with the medical staff at Liverpool’s Kirkby training headquarters, and there is real hope he will return to training in the week before the Champions League final on May 28.”

The German coach admitted he feared for the worse when the incident first happened forcing Fabinho to limp off.

“I don’t know [how bad it is]. He felt the muscle, not too much, but he felt it. He has a good feeling and that gives me a better feeling than I had and I took him off. What that means, I don’t know yet.”
