Official: Inter Extend Barella’s Contract Till 2026

Inter Milan have announced the contract extension of Italy International, Nicolo Barella barely three seasons into his time at the San Siro.

The 24-year-old has impressed since his initial loan move from Cagliari winning both the league title for the club and Euros for the Azzurri. Barella’s previous deal was due to run until 2024 and he had been linked with top European clubs.
Inter CEO, Giuseppe Marotta revealed last month that talks were ongoing regarding fresh terms and yesterday Inter confirmed the news in a short statement on their official website.
“FC Internazionale Milano is delighted to announce that Nicolo Barella has signed a contract extension with the club. The 24-year-old midfielder’s new deal will run until 30 June 2026.” The statement reads.
Barella has featured 102 times across all competitions for the Nerazzurri scoring 8 goals in the process and was an integral part of Antonio Conte’s side who won the Serie A title last season.

Barella himself has taken to social media to express his delight following his contract extension with Inter.
The central midfielder wants to “keep fighting for the club” as it is revealed that the former Cagliari player will earn around €4.5m-a-year.
“I’m delighted to have extended my contract so I can keep fighting for the Inter cause. All the best to Nerazzurri fans and Forza Inter!” Barella via Inter’s Twitter account.
Barella, who was on a €2.5m-a-year deal at San Siro, will earn about €4.5m-a-year plus add-ons, but his salary will rise through the years, reaching €6m in 2026.
